About Me

- Born as Innokentij (Kescha) Platonow in Moscow, Russia, in 1972
- Started drawing at the age of two
- As a 7-year old, went to an art school in Moscow
- Immigrated to Austria (with parents) in 1981
- Got interested in cars reading a Chrom & Flames Magazine brought to school by a
classmate
- Visited High-school in Bregenz, Austria
- Improved my English reading american car magazines like Hot Rod, Car Craft and
Popular Hot Rodding bought monthly at a newsstand in nearby Switzerland
- Did drawings, portraits, caricatures, cartoons and other artwork for friends
- Went to my first drag race at the age of 16 (Hockenheim, Germany)
- Started playing pool, joined small tournaments
- Got hooked on Rock´n´Roll and Rockabilly music and eventually started a bimonthly
Rockabilly magazine with some friends; went to concerts, did interviews with the bands
and wrote articles
- Did artwork on leather jackets and T-shirts
- First US-trip in 1992, went to the US-Nationals in Indy
- Got interested in airbrushing and took a course to learn the technique
- Started doing the poster artwork for the American Graffiti US-car show
- Went to the USA again in 1994 and became a freelancer for the German Hot Rod Magazine
"Street Magazine", writing stories and shooting photos
- Went to a Graphic Design school in Germany for 3 years, bought my first computer
(Apple 8200)
- Did more posters, logos, flyers
- Had to do my alternative service at the Red Cross headquarters
- Worked in the shipping/handling depts. of 2 large companies
- Bought my first car, a 1966 Chrysler 300, on my 6th visit to the US in October 2000
- After being laid off by the second company and going through a period of unemployment,
co-founded a billiards dealership and a short while later the graphic art company presented
on this site
